ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT

PROTECTING COUNTRY. OPERATING WITH CARE.

Environmental responsibility is embedded in how we operate every day. Operating within the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area carries both privilege and responsibility.

Our approach focuses on reducing impact, protecting biodiversity and managing our operations in a way that supports the long-term health of the environments where we work.

How We Manage Our Environmental Impact

Our Environmental Management Plan guides how we identify, manage and reduce environmental impacts across all operations, in line with permit conditions and regulatory requirements.

It is supported by:
  • Compliance with national park permits, licences and operating conditions
  • Documented procedures and site-specific operating controls
  • Defined staff roles, training and accountability
  • Environmental monitoring, data collection and annual review processes
  • Collaboration with land managers, Traditional Owners and conservation partners
This framework underpins how we plan, deliver and continuously improve every experience.

Low-Impact Operations on Every Experience

Across all tours, we apply consistent environmental controls designed to minimise impact and protect natural and cultural values.

Guiding Principles: Leave No Trace

We apply the internationally recognised Leave No Trace principles across all operations, guiding staff training, guest behaviour and on-tour decision-making.

These principles are embedded in our procedures and briefings, supporting consistent, low-impact practices across all locations where we operate.

  • Participation in initiatives that support habitat protection and responsible tourism
  • Ongoing staff training in environmental awareness and low-impact practices
